Davis Thompson fired a 7-under 64 on Sunday, July 7 to win the John Deere Classic 2024. He aggregated at the 28-under after 72 holes to break the tournament record.

Thompson entered the fourth round of the John Deere Classic with a two-stroke lead. He started the day with a birdie and sank three back-to-back on holes 3,4 and 5. After finishing the front nine at 6-under, he added two more birdies on the back nine. His lone bogey came on the par 3, 12th where he missed the 12-foot putt.

The John Deere Classic is Thompson's first win on the PGA Tour. The 28-under aggregate is also the lowest at the TPC Deere Run, breaking Michael Kim's record of 27-under in 2018.
