3 top performing golfers at TGL's first-ever game ft. Ludvig Aberg

The first match of the TGL League between the New York Golf Club and the Bay Golf Clubis on January 7 at the SoFi Center of Palm Beaches in Florida ended recently. The Bay Golf Club won the match over the New York Golf Club with a score of 9-2.

There were a few golfers who performed their best in the first-ever TGL match. The top three performers were Ludvig Aberg ( turned professional in 2023), Shane Lowry, and Wyndham Clark from the winning TGL team.

Aberg showed his golf skills on the first hole as he took a nine-foot shot to make a birdie for his team. Bay won the hole by concession for one point. Next, on the fifth hole, Aberg made another putt from 32 ft 1 inch and Bay won the hole by one point. In the singles on the 12th hole, Aberg bested against Xander Schauffele and helped his team win the hole by one point. On the 15th hole, he tied with Schauffele.

Lowry’s first significant contribution was the birdie on the fourth hole. He took a 282-yard shot to the rough, 306 yards left to hole. Next, he made a putt from 3 ft 8 inches and earned a point for his team. The match on hole 10 was the first match of the singles and the Bay won the hole by one point. On that hole, Lowry received a gimme and used it to make the putt for his team.

Wyndham Clark made a putt from 7 ft 7 inches and won the third hole by 2 points. In the singles, Clark was playing against Matt Fitzpatrick on the 11th hole and Clark helped his team to win one point by concession against New York. On hole 14, Clark and Fitzpatrick had a tie.

Out of the 10 remaining TGL events, Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links Golf Club has five matches on the TGL roster till March 4. The first match of the Jupiter Links GC is against the Los Angeles Golf Club on January 14 at 7 p.m. EST.
