Phil Mickelson one of the best golfers in the World, recently revealed his 'game plan' to compete at the highest level in 2025. Mickelson, who joined LIV Golf in 2022, has failed to win a tournament since 2021.
His performances on the Saudi-backed Tour have fallen below par. In 2022, Mickelson finished 34th in the season's standings, followed by 39th in 2023 and 46th this year. However, in a recent friendly stroke play match with Wesley Bryan, the six-time Major Champion said that he will push to regain the form he exhibited in his 30s.
"The game plan? I've been able to get to a point where I believe I can play at the level I played out in my 30s. I don't know if that's going to be the case. We're going to see heading into this year, but I'm going to really make a push to compete at the highest level," Mickelson said.
Phil Mickelson won numerous tournaments in his 30s including the 2005 PGA Championship and Masters tournament in 2004 and 2006.
"And that means, you know, fine-tuning all aspects of my game, including driving, including speed, including putting and all that, and getting my short game back to a really sharp, the highest level. So I think that I can do something special," he added.
Mickelson, who has a net worth of $300 million per Celebrity Net Worth, became the oldest Major winner in history when he won the 2021 PGA Championship at Kiawah Island. The 54-year-old has had 57 professionals win in his career including 45 on the PGA Tour. He's among the few golfers to win in four decades (1990s, 2000s, 2010s, 2020s).
