In an Instagram post, Justin Thomas praised Scottie Scheffler for raising the bar after another victory in the 2024 season at the Hero World Challenge. He was on the top of the leaderboard going into the final round but Scheffler's final round of 9-under 63 left no chance for him.
Thomas, who has a net worth of $30 million (per Celebrity Net Worth), finished with a score of 18-under 270 and third in the tournament. He scored 66, 67, 66, and 71 in the four rounds at Albany Golf Course in Nassau, Bahamas. He shared pictures from the tournament and reflected on the week:
"Wasn’t the Sunday we wanted, but was a good week in the Bahamas for @tgrliveevents #heroworldchallenge. Loved being in the hunt again, a lot of things trending the right direction…Lots to use as a learning experience and motivation toward 2025! Enjoyed (kinda 😜) watching @scottie.scheffler win to cap off a year for the history books. He’s set the standard for all of us to try and play to."
Thomas won $300,000 for finishing third while Scheffler won $1 million, and Joohyung Kim earned $450,000 for finishing as a runner-up. Thomas had a lighter FedEx Cup Fall schedule as he and his wife welcomed their first child and daughter Molly Grace last month. Thomas last won a PGA Tour tournament in 2022 at the PGA Championship. It's been two years of him without a win on the Tour.
