The second round of the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open concluded with Ludvig Aberg taking a one-shot lead after shooting back-to-back 64s. He now aggregates at 12-under after 36 holes. Antoine Rozner moved six spots up after firing a 6-under 64 on Friday, July 12, to aggregate at 11-under.

The other players who went low in the second round of the 2024 Genesis Scottish Open included Matteo Manassero (63), Alejandro Del Rey (62), and Rasmus Højgaard. All of them made a huge surge in the leaderboard after Day 2.

Following the second day at Renaissance Club, the cutline was set at 3-under. The players finishing below T63 faced an early exit from the tournament. Many top names had to book an early flight home after missing the cut.

Hideki Matsuyama was 14 of 14 this season until the setback at Renaissance Golf Club. He carded 71 in the first round and missed the cut by one stroke after shooting 67 on Friday.


2) Sepp Straka

After shooting 70 in the opening round, Sepp Straka fired 68 on Friday and moved up by 24 spots. However, it wasn't enough to get inside the cutline as he missed the weekend by just one shot.

Straka was 2-under after making a birdie on the 12th hole of the day but no more birdies for the remaining round resulted in a sixth missed cut of the season


3) Jordan Spieth

After making his most recent top-20 finish last week, Jordan Spieth missed another cut this season. He carded 71 in the first round and aggregated at 1-under after shooting 68 on Friday.

Justin Rose shot 69 in the first round but witnessed a huge dip in the second round after shooting 2-over 72.

Will Zalatoris was returning to action after withdrawing from the Rocket Morgage Classic due to injury. However, his return didn't go as planned as missed the weekend by five strokes. He carded back-to-back 71s to aggregate at 2-over.
