The fourth round of the BMW Championship concluded on Sunday, August 25, at Castle Pines Golf Club in Castle Rock, Colorado. Keegan Bradley won the tournament and gained 2000 FedExCup points. He jumped from 50th to 4th in the FedExCup standings.
At the same time, several golfers narrowly missed making it to the final FedExCup playoffs i.e., the 2024 Tour Championship. Only the top 30 players in the standings will play at the East Lake Golf Course from August 29 to September 1.

#1 Jason Day
Jason Day was positioned 25th in the FedExCup standings after the 2024 FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind. However, he slipped to 33rd in the standings as he only gained 82 FedEx points for his performance at the BMW Championship.
Day finished tied at 33rd at the BMW Championship. After a disastrous first round, where he carded 78, he couldn't recover in the tournament. He scored 69, 71 and 71 in the last three rounds.
#2 Brian Harman
Brian Harman was positioned 29th in the FedExCup standings after the first of three FedExCup playoffs at TPC Southwind. However, he dropped to 31st in the standings after he finished 25th at the BMW Championship.
Harman scored 72, 69, 71 and 73 in the four rounds at the Castle Pines Golf Club. Had he scored 71 in the final round, he would have gained 270 FedEx points and finished 24th in the standings. However, he gained only 142 FedEx points and missed the playoffs by 20 points.
#3 Alex Noren
Alex Noren was positioned fourth on the leaderboard after he carded 68 and 68 in the first two rounds. He looked comfortable enough to qualify for the final FedExCup playoffs.
He scored a decent 70 in the third round, however, a 75 in the final round cost him the ticket to the Tour Championship. He finished tied for 9th at the BMW Championship. He gained 310 FedEx points and finished 37th in the standings.
#4 Cam Davis
Cam Davis tied for fifth at the BMW Championship with the likes of Tommy Fleetwood, Xander Schauffele and Si Woo Kim. He made a spectacular comeback in the fourth round. He scored 72, 70, 72 and 66 in the four rounds of the tournament.
He looked comfortable to qualify for the Tour Championship till the 17th hole. However, a bogey on the final hole of the day cost him the spot to East Lake as he finished 36th in the FedExCup standings.
#5 Si Woo Kim
Kim also finished tied for fifth at the Castle Pines Golf Club. He scored 69, 70, 71 and 70 in the four rounds of the tournament. He jumped from 44th to 32nd in the FedExCup standings after gaining 385 points for his performance in the tournament. Kim tied for 20th in the 2023 Tour Championship and finished 19th in the final standings of last season.
