1) So Yeon Ryu
So Yeon Ryu announced her retirement last year and the Chevron Championship 2024 was her last start. She won six times in her career and claimed two major championships.
The South Korean native also ascended to No. 1 in the Rolex Women’s Golf Rankings and won Player of the Year in 2017.
2) Amy Olson
Amy Olson is another name who called it quits in 2024. She hadn't played since the US Women's Open in 2023 but officially ended her career last year.
Over her ten-year career on the LPGA Tour, Olson made multiple top-ten finishes. This included runner-up finishes at the 2018 Amundi Evian Championship and the 2020 US Women’s Open.
3) Lexi Thompson
Lexi Thompson also stunned everyone last year after announcing that it would be her last full-fledged season on the LPGA Tour.
Thompson won eleven times on the Tour, including the 2014 Chevron Championship and 2018 CME Group Tour Championship. She won over $14 million in her career and also won the Race to the CME Globe and the Vare Trophy in 2017. Besides, she was part of multiple Solheim Cups, including Team USA's successful campaign last year.
4) Ally Ewing
Ally Ewing also joined her Solheim Cup teammate Lexi Thompson in stepping away from professional golf. She won three titles on the LPGA Tour and was part of five Solheim Cups.
Last season, Ewing registered six top-10 finishes, and her retirement came as a surprise to golf fans.
5) Gerina Mendoza
Gerina Mendoza had also been absent from the LPGA Tour since 2023 but officially announced her retirement last year. Although winless, she recorded 40 top-10 finishes in her career and played in three Solheim Cups in her eighteen-year-long professional career.
