The Ladies European Tour Aramco Team Series is all set to start this week on March 16 and will continue until March 18 in Singapore.
The sixth event of the 2023 season is a team event where 26 teams of professional golfers compete against each other to earn the winner's share of the purse of $1 million.
The tournament is already making headlines in the newspaper and here are five things you need to know about why the LET Aramco Team Series is special.

1) Top-ranked golfers
The LET Aramco Team Series features some of the top-ranked golfers in the world. The world No. 1, Lydia Ko, will be having her first taste of the Saudi team series.
Fans are keeping an eye on the golfer as she returns to continue her winning streak. She recently won the LET Aramco Saudi Ladies International and then went on to finish at T31 in the LPGA Tour event held in Singapore and T6 in Thailand.
2) Team format game
The LET Aramco team series will return to last year's format, which is an individual and team event. A single event will be played in a 54-hole stroke format, while the team match will have 36 holes.
It is important to note that on the first two days, the team event will take place, while the individual event is scheduled for the last day.
3) Defending champion
The defending champion, Manon De Roey, will be back to defend her title. She won the LET Aramco Team Series in 2022, held in Bangkok. The Belgian golfer registered her maiden victory at the tournament and will return this year to defend her title.
It would be interesting to watch her play against some of the world's best female golfers. Manon De Roey has won five professional events in her career.
Since turning professional in 2015, Manon De Roey has won one LET event and one ALPG Tour. She is yet to win a major tournament.
Roey had a successful amateur career and won the Belgian Youth Trophy in 2008. She won the Flanders Trophy in 2009 and the Belgian National Strokeplay in 2013 and 2014.
4) Master course
The 2023 Aramco Team Series is scheduled to be held in five different venues in three different countries. The first tournament of the year will take place in Singapore at the Laguna National Golf Resort Club and Masters Course.
The Masterpiece golf course was designed by Andy Dye. It is among the top-ranked golf courses in the world. It is known for its beautiful location and amazing design of over 7,109 yards with a par of 72.
5) Prize money
The LET Aramco team series has a total purse of $5 million, with the first event in Singapore having a prize fund of $1 million.
The second event of the series will take place in Florida from May 19 to May 21, while the third will be in London, the fourth in Hong Kong, and the fifth in Riyadh.
