6 LIV Golfers confirmed for Hero Desert Classic ft. Jon Rahm

Six LIV golfers, including Jon Rahm, are confirmed to tee off in the 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic. The Spanish LIV Golf star will debut at this esteemed golf event.

Rahm is a popular name in the European Tour and has bagged 10 wins. However, he will play in the Dubai-based tournament for the first time. Including Rahm, here are the six golfers who are set to play at the 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic:

Tyrrell Hatton, who happens to be Rahm's Legion XI team member.

Jon Rahm, a two-time Majors winner and LIV Golf player.

Robert MacIntyre, a popular part of Team Europe in the Ryder Cup

Patrick Reed, who has participated in this event once, in 2023.

Adam Scott, a popular golfer who ranked 18th on the 2024 PGA Tour leaderboard.

Dean Burmester, another popular player in the Saudi Arabia-backed LIV Golf

As reported by Golf Monthly, Jon Rahm expressed his excitement to play in the 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic in an interview:

"This is an event that I have heard a lot about and I am looking forward to making my Hero Dubai Desert Classic debut in January. I have had a lot of success in Dubai in the past, so it’s a place that holds a lot of good memories for me, and it will be great to get back there.”

The 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic is scheduled from January 16 to 19. Players will compete for the $9 million prize at the Emirates Golf Club. On Nov. 28, Rahm was confirmed to tee off at the Majlis Golf Course.

How did Jon Rahm perform in 2024?

The 30-year-old golfer has 20 professional wins in the PGA Tour and European Tour till now. In 2024, he tied for the fifth spot in the Olympics Men's Golf Competition at the Le Golf National, finishing 15-under par.

Although he missed the cut at the PGA Championship, Jon Rahm tied for seventh at The Open 2024, finishing with 1-under par. He also tied for the 45th position at The 2024 Masters Tournament, scoring an overall 73-76-72-76. Rahm made it to the top 10 list thrice at the DP World Tour Championships of 2023-24.
