Popular golf influencer, Grant Horvat, recently announced that he has joined Takomo Golf. The social media personality has also acquired some stakes in the emerging golf brand.
Horvat is already signed with TaylorMade and this new partnership will not change that. The YouTuber with 996k subscribers took to X to announce his association with Takomo Golf. He also mentioned that he is still a "TaylorMade athlete" and will continue using the brand's "driver, woods, and ball".
Acquiring stakes in Takomo Golf makes Grant Horvat an owner of the upcoming company. He shared his excitement for this new step saying:
"I am officially an owner of Takomo Golf. Being an owner of a golf company has always been a dream of mine, and today, that dream becomes a reality,"
The 26-year-old shared a picture wearing an all-black attire along with a long heartfelt message to announce this special news. He captioned the post on X with a simple, "Thank you."
While this might be something of an uncharted territory for Horvat, quite a few well-known brands have partnered with some golf influencers.
Which brands have previously partnered with golf influencers?
Golf influencers have seen rising popularity on the YouTube and Instagram scene with many PGA Tour and LPGA Tour players taking a keen interest in social media and even collaborating with social media stars.
Several professional golfers like Wesley and George Bryan, and Bryson DeChambeau have dived into their own content creation journeys. Max Homa even commended golf influencers for their videos.
"Golf is fun. They're really fun. They make it fun to play with them, and I like what they do for the sport. It doesn't have to be for men's professional golf. It's just for the game," he said. [via the PGA Tour]
In a landmark move, the PGA Tour even held the first-ever Creator Classic at East Lake this year on the eve of the Tour Championship. 16 top golf influencers such as Paige Spiranac, Gabby Golf Girl, Wesley and George Bryan, etc took part in the debut event with Luke Kwon eventually winning the title.
With the growth of golf influencers, several brands have also signed them on. 'Good Good' and 'Bob Does Sport' have partnered with Callaway with the former even releasing a custom line of 'Good Good Callaway balls' and 'Odyssey putters'.
Grant Horvat and Barstool Sports have made deals with TaylorMade. The No Laying Up podcast is sponsored by Titleist and now Horvat will be joining the Bryan brothers at Takomo Golf.
The sponsorship and promotional offers from top brands have an incredible impact on the production value of content created by these golf influencers along with turning their content creation into full-fledged careers. Their involvement has further encouraged the golf influencer market.
