Fans on social media reflected their disappointment with Cameron Smith being unhappy with the LIV Golf schedule. The Australian golfer recently opened up about the schedule of the Saudi Circuit.

While discussing the Saudi Circuit event in Spain, which took place just before The Open Championship, the one-time major winner said that the event timing was not ideal for his preparation for the major.

Cameron Smith played a few good rounds of golf before struggling with his game at The Open Championship, where he missed the cut. However, he was impressive with his game at the LIV Golf Andalucía event, which was held just prior to The Open. He finished the tournament tied 26th.

"It was really hot, the ball was going a long way up in altitude, and then getting on to links where it’s quite cold and windy, it’s probably not the best prep. It’s definitely something that we spoke about. They (LIV) are well aware of that," Smith said.

Fans in the comments section expressed their disappointment with Smith's remarks and criticized him for playing on the LIV Golf.

"All these Liv golfers do is whinge. WD from the major then if you don't think it's right," a fan wrote.
"Forgot he was still playing Golf," one more fan wrote.

Meanwhile, some suggested he should return to "professional golf," taking a jab at LIV Golf events. Saudi Circuit events have a limited field and no-cut line after certain holes. They are only played over 54 holes, unlike most golf tournaments in other series worldwide, which usually follow a 72-hole format with a full-sized field and cut line.

"Or…. He could return to ‘professional’ golf," a fan jotted.
"So everything about LIV isn’t perfect. Good to know," another fan commented.
