Amanda Balionis announces the end of her NFL gig after teasing a return to golf

Amanda Balionis is currently the leading sports presenter on CBS. However, she had taken a break from the sport and shifted her focus to the NFL for the final few months of 2024.

Balionis recently shared a post on her Instagram announcing the end of her NFL gig and revealed that she will be back to golf after a couple of weeks off. However, she did not indicate or reveal the exact date or tournament where she will be back as a golf presenter on CBS.

"That’s a wrap on the regular season! This job is always the dream, but it’s the people I have the privilege of working around and learning from that make it so fun and special. We had some incredible games, laughed more than most, and had the honor of being a tiny piece of telling the incredible stories of the season. Time for a couple of weeks off and then back to @golfoncbs we go!"

Recently, she also shared a story on her Instagram indicating her comeback to golf after taking a break at the end of the 2024 PGA Tour's regular season in August. Balionis shared an Instagram story and teased golf fans with her comeback without indicating the exact date.

"How is week 18 here already?! This season has flown by. One more game then it's back to golf we go!"

Balionis is quite active on Instagram and shares regular updates about her life with her fans and followers. She has around 322K followers and has become a popular entity associated with golf and the NFL.


When did Amanda Balionis join CBS?

Amanda Balionis completed her graduation from Hofstra University in New York in 2008. She majored in broadcast journalism and started working in the sports media industry and eventually got her big break in managing the PGA Tour's digital content.

The 39-year-old presenter then joined Callaway as an in-house golf reporter. She produced and managed the digital content for one of the leading golf equipment manufacturing companies in the world.

Balionis joined CBS in 2017 and worked hard to establish herself as one of the leading sports presenters. Since 2017, she has covered most of the major golf events and started her journey with the NFL in 2018 while maintaining her focus on golf.

Amanda Balionis also runs an NGO called Puppies & Golf. She started it in 2020, and it aims to provide grants to families, shelters, and rescues and assists military veterans and organizations that rescue dogs. They also train the dogs to become service animals for veterans in need.
