Amanda Balionis celebrates the “wedding weekend” of one of her “favourite humans”

Amanda Balionis is in Beaver Creek, Colorado to attend the wedding of one of her friends. The well-known CBS Sports reporter shared some moments of the celebration with her more than 320,000 followers on Instagram.

Balionis posted pictures on her Instagram Stories that show the wedding being celebrated with golf as a central motif. One of the photos shows her in a golf cart accompanied by six other people on a golf course. The photo is accompanied by the following text:

"Happy wedding weekend to one of my very favorites humans. Let's get some birdies then get you married."

Amanda Balionis also posted a picture wearing a cap with the logo of the Puppies and Golf Foundation, of which she is the founder and president.

Beaver Creek is a resort community near Avon, Colorado and consists of three towns: Beaver Creek Village, Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead. Its primary activity is as a ski resort, but it has three golf clubs nearby, including the Beaver Creek Golf Club.

Whose wedding will Amanda Balionis attend?

In one of the pictures she posted in her Instagram stories, Amanda Balionis tagged @hallylead. That is Hally Leadbetter, a well-known podcaster, host of The Best Golf Podcast and contributor to Golf Digest and CBS Sports, among others. She is also the one getting married this weekend.

Leadbetter has been involved with the game of golf since her early childhood. Her father, David Leadbetter, is a renowned English golf instructor who has worked with the likes of Sir Nick Faldo, Greg Norman, Nick Price, Charles Howell III, Michelle Wie, Lydia Ko, and Byeong Hun An.

Hally had her own junior golf career, performing well enough to earn an athletic scholarship to the University of Arkansas. Two years later, she transferred to Rollins College in the USA.

During her time as a collegiate golfer, Hally Leadbetter was ranked 10th in the world amateur rankings. She led the Rollins College team to the 2016 NCAA Division II Championship title.

While attending Rollins College, Hally also discovered her interest in golf broadcasting. After graduation, she had a brief stint in professional golf, but quickly pursued a career in golf media.

In 2017, she began working for Golf Digest and later worked with the PGA Tour as a digital producer and golf. Since then, she has continued to work with Golf Digest and Golf TV.

Hally Leadbetter and Amanda Balionis have a long-standing friendship. In 2023, they participated in a three-hole golf match for a video produced by Golf Digest. The event took place at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco. Balionis eventually won the event.
