Amanda Balionis enjoys a 'girls day' out at the Soleta Golf Course

Golf journalist Amanda Balionis recently enjoyed a girls' day out with her friends at the Soleta Golf Course. She shared the pictures from her outing on social media.

Balionis is one of the most popular golf journalists especially known for her work with CBS. She enjoys more than 320,000 followers on Instagram, where she often engages with her fans via her posts.

On Saturday, November 30, Balionis posted several pictures from her outing at Soleta Golf Course. She was accompanied by her mother Dana Caplan Balionis, golf instructor Carolin Pinegger, and golf content creator Hally Lead.

She also shared other posts including the one where golf instructor David Leadbetter gave her some swing tips.

For the uninitiated, Leadbetter has designed a 30-acre signature practice facility at Soleta Golf Club.


Has Amanda Balionis ever played professional golf?

Amanda Balionis is a renowned golf journalist who often plays golf as a hobby but has never been a professional. She was born on June 20, 1985, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but her family later moved to Lancaster. She played golf during her childhood, which is where she developed her love for the game.

Besides golf, Amanda Balionis also played volleyball and swimming. In an interview with Golf Digest, she mentioned that she enjoyed golfing with her family growing up and participated in junior golf for two years.

"I played junior golf for a few years," she said, as per Golf Monthly. "My parents loved playing with me, but the minute I had to carry my own bag and walk nine holes by myself, I was like, 'Eh, you know what, I'm gonna go join the swim team.'"

Balionis played Division II volleyball at Kutztown University before transferring to Hofstra University in Long Island, New York, where she graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism in 2008. After graduating, she began working for the PGA Tour and later joined Callaway as a digital reporter.

In 2017, Balionis joined CBS Sports Network and has been covering golf ever since. She has also reported on the Masters every year since joining CBS. In addition to golf, Balionis covers the NFL for CBS and is actively reporting on the current season.
