Amanda Balionis is at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, New Orleans this Sunday, November 3, as part of the CBS Sports broadcast team. Balionis is covering the game between the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers, which is Week 9 of the 2024-25 National Football League (NFL) season.

Hours before kickoff, Amanda Balionis shared a photo on her Instagram Stories from the field. Balionis shared the following message with her more than 321,000 followers:

Balionis wore a shirt by designer Ramy Brook, who launched her own womenswear label in 2010. According to the brand's website, the New York-based designer specializes in creating day-to-night solutions for women's wardrobes.

Balionis joined Tom McCarthy and Jay Feely for the coverage of the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers game. The Saints scored six points in the first quarter and another seven in the second quarter. The Panthers trailed by three points at the half-time break.

CBS Sports will broadcast five other week nine NFL games (Broncos at Ravens, Dolphins at Bills, Chargers at Browns, Bears at Cardinals and Jaguars at Eagles). The other six games will air on Fox.

Amanda Balionis joined the football broadcasts at the start of the current NFL season, which coincided with the end of the PGA Tour season. The reporter has alternated between the two sports at CBS Sports since 2018.

Amanda Balionis mirrors broadcasting legend in her two-sport coverage

Amanda Balionis shares the two sports she covers for CBS Sports with one of the living legends of that network and sports broadcasting in America, Jim Nantz. The latter also covers golf and football, in addition to some college sports.

Balionis is a great admirer of Nantz's career. She recently said the following about her colleague (via The Mirror):

"Jim Nantz is number one. I don't think he could ever get enough credit for his talent. His memory knows no bounds; he recalls things in the moment in the most accurate way from 20 years ago that will put your jaw on the floor."

She added:

"But it's not just what he does on camera; it's the way he carries himself as a person. He takes so much time to support and be an advocate for the people around him, and that's what I want to be remembered for, too."

Nantz joined CBS Sports in 1985 and became the lead broadcaster for the Masters Tournament in 1989, a role he continues to play today. Nantz was already an icon in the industry when Balionis joined the network in 2017.

Balionis was hired in 2017, initially to cover the PGA Tour on a part-time basis. A year later, she was hired on a permanent basis, and NFL football was added to her duties.
