All you need to know about Amanda Balionis

Amanda Balionis is a famous reporter and journalist in the sports industry. She was born on June 20, 1985, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and now resides in San Diego, California.

Her journey in golf began at the age of nine. At the time, Balionis did not see herself building a successful career and wanted to pursue swimming and volleyball instead. In an interview with Golf Digest, she said:

"I played junior golf for a few years; my parents loved playing with me, but the minute I had to carry my own bag and walk nine holes by myself, I was like, 'Eh, you know what, I'm gonna go join the swim team."

Balionis earned her degree in broadcast journalism from Hofstra University in Long Island, New York, in 2008. However, before moving to the Big Apple, she attended Kutztown University in Pennsylvania for a few years as a part of their Division II volleyball team.

She first worked with the PGA Tour before thriving as Callaway's digital content creator and reporter. Balionis joined CBS Sports in 2017 and has since covered every edition of the Augusta Masters. Growing up, she dreamed of being an NFL sideline reporter - a dream that she made true with CBS in 2018.

The 39-year-old met FIU Quarterback coach Bryn Renner in 2019 and got engaged in 2021. A year later, she married the former Baltimore Ravens quarterback and changed her surname. Early this year, fans were quick to notice that she was not wearing her wedding ring in public and that she changed her surname back to Balionis.

She is associated with K9 for Warriors, which is a charity that pairs service dogs with military veterans to help them cope with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
