Amanda Balionis had a busy 2024, but last week was self-admittedly the busiest week of the year for the former golf reporter. Balionis had a bit of a hectic holiday, and she took to Instagram to reflect and shout out those who survive things like that on a yearly basis.
She captioned her post:
"That's a wrap on the best/most chaotic holiday week. Respect to all parents out there. Watching the besties keep four kids under four alive and happy was exhausting."
Balionis wrote she saw firsthand what it takes to keep families going thanks to her close friends. As a result, she now has a great appreciation for how those families do it every Christmas.
Balionis is a famed golf reporter, though she hasn't been doing golf reporting anymore since the offseason began.
She traded golf courses for NFL sidelines and currently does reporting for CBS. Golf is still important to her, though, as she routinely shares snaps to her social media of golf outings.
Amanda Balionis reflected on transition away from golf
Following the conclusion of the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup season, Amanda Balionis did what most top golfers did at that time: moved on from golf. Several players haven't played since then, and Balionis has been covering another sport entirely.
When she did step away and onto CBS' NFL crew, she said (via the Daily Mail):
"This year had it all. From historic moments to heart-shattering events and every other emotion you can imagine in between. I love this game. I love working in sports."
She said that "competing at the highest level" both requires and produces high inspiration, drama, joy, resilience, and a lot of growth. The golf journalist added:
"It's an honor to be a very small part of a tremendous team that brings these moments and stories to life each weekend. If we left you with one new favorite player, or one memorable moment you shared with loved ones than we have done our jobs. Catch ya on the NFL sidelines until next season!"
For now, Amanda Balionis only gets on golf courses to play and spend time with people. In 2025, though, she'll be back doing the job she's done for several years now.
