The 39-year-old journalist is a popular figure among golfers and fans. As sports fans know her for being a popular golf interviewer, Amanda Balionis is also a rescuer. Her Instagram currently has 320K followers. Amanda keeps posting pictures of different puppies and dogs accompanying her during interview sessions. She helps her furry friends find a safe place through rescue homes that offer adoption.
Puppies and Golf started their journey with a simple t-shirt collaboration. This NGO was founded by Amanda in 2020 to provide different services for dogs who need help. Now, they provide a platform for different shelter groups and pet supply chains. Amanda's NGO is a voice for the dogs and puppies who need urgent help.
While talking about her vision with the company, Amanda Balionis told Golf Digest:
"I want Puppies and Golf to be a resource for people, not only for education, but if people are thinking about adopting or fostering for the first time, they can find everything they need on our website. I want to be a proactive resource rather than a reactive place where people can donate, which of course they will be able to do as well."
By selling golf merchandise and other products on their official website, P&G provides financial aid and helps dogs connect with humans. After the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene, her company collected almost $30,000 through fundraising campaigns on social media. Recently, on Veterans Day, she donated $45,000 through her NGO.
