Balionis' third post of the day on her Instagram stories included an image of a puppy, offering a charming look to the camera. Balionis accompanied the post with the following caption:
"And also for keeping the dog to human ratio jusssst right."
Balionis is a well-known dog lover. This sentiment is included in her social media bio, but it goes much further. The well-known reporter founded a charity called "Puppies and Golf" aimed at helping dogs in need.
The organization was founded in 2020 and has since worked to advocate for dogs in need of care, as well as to raise awareness about the effective benefits dogs bring to people.
The work of the organization founded by Balionis is directed along three main lines, helping institutions in charge of rescuing dogs in need, helping families in need with the costs of medical care for their dogs, and helping institutions that train dogs to assist military veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
Golf is the primary avenue for raising funds to operate the organization. In 2023, "Puppies and Golf" pursued a goal of raising $500,000 and expanding its assistance possibilities.
