Amanda Balionis recently posted an update on her Instagram story on December 8, 2025, on helping out animals from The Palisades fire. The CBS reporter and Golf pundit is an active Instagram user with 322K followers. She keeps sharing different moments from her life and highlights issues where animals need rescue.

Balionis shared a story by Canine Rescue Club about helping out animals from danger. Canine Rescue Club actively works towards rehabilitation and joint rescue of needy dogs. Like Balionis' NGO Puppies and Golf, they collaborate with other rescue centers. Following the Palisades fire incident, Balionis wanted to rescue animals who needed help. Amanda Balionis posted a link to this heartwarming cause and wrote in the story:

The fire at the Pacific Palisades is wreaking havoc with its flames spreading across Los Angeles. As reported by AP News, the fire has damaged more than 1000 structures and 30,000 people from LA had to be evacuated. Multiple wildfires in Palisade and Eaton have damaged California and the lives of animals are also in danger.

Apart from that, the golf pundit also shared recent rescue updates. Amanda Balionis posted about the different evacuation shelters set up for the Palisade fire:

Puppies and Golf is always providing a platform for animal rescue centers and pet homes in California. Balionis founded the non-profit organization back in 2020, following a t-shirt collaboration event. The golf pundit was in San Diego back then (as reported by Golf Digest).

In the interview with Golf Digest, the true intention behind Puppies and Golf was revealed by Amanda Balionis:

"I started to reach out to animal rescues in the cities that I was in and visit them on the road. The amount of work and selfless love that’s put into these dogs and these horrible stories that these dogs have are heartbreaking.
"The volunteers and the people that own these places are hemorrhaging money into this for no other reason than they want to do the right thing. I would visit the shelters and feature some of the dogs that were up for adoption on my Instagram, and I was absolutely blown away by the response."

For years, Balionis has held charity drives to help out her furry friends in need. While she interviews popular golfers in the field, she can often be spotted with dogs accompanying her. At the 3M Open in 2024, Amanda was holding a puppy on her lap as another dog sat beside her. She captioned it:

"We had some incredible guests today on set and we also have a great leaderboard at the @3mopen. It's so fun to see Jhonattan Vegas make a comeback and be in position for his first win since 2017..."

Amanda Balionis and Puppies and Golf have brought together different animal rescue homes for years. Through social media campaigns, the company gathers funding for heartwarming causes. For their 4th anniversary, P&G held a fundraiser worth $40,000 through their Instagram and website. They raised funds worth $35,000 through social media campaigns shortly after Hurricane Helene wreaked havoc in 2024.
