Annika Sorenstam & Will McGee plead guilty to playful ‘internal betting’ at the PNC Championship - “A lot was on the line”

Annika Sorenstam and Will McGee took on a little internal challenge at the PNC Championship. During the press conference, the duo revealed that they had different perks assigned in case of their respective wins.

Sorenstam and McGee are returning to the PNC Championship for the third consecutive year. On Thursday, December 19, the duo participated in the Pro-Am, during which they placed a bet to make it more competitive.

During the press conference ahead of the PNC Championship, Annika Sorenstam shed light on the bet.

"We had some internal betting," she said. "It was pretty tough. We went out there trying to beat each other, and then in the end I got my team to support me and trying to beat him."

Later in the press conference, the mother-son duo opened up about what was at stake in the bet.

"After 18 holes, if she won, then I would have to do the dishes later," McGee said. "But then if my team one, I get to go home and get ice cream. But we tied."

Sorenstam revealed that her team was close to the win on the final hole. She added:

"Our team had, what, maybe a 25-footer on the last, and if we would have made that, he would have made the dishes. So I told the PNC guy that I'm going to invite everybody from PNC because I'm going to use every pot in the house. I hit the edge, and that was it. It was fun to have a little rivalry between us and get us fired up."
