Matt Fitzpatrick expressed his excitement over being featured on the cover of The PGA Tour 2K25. Recently, the Tour unveiled the cover of their popular video game. In the Deluxe and Standard edition, Fitzpatrick was joined by legendary golfer Tiger Woods and Max Homa.
He reshared the PGA Tour 2K25 post along with a caption that read:
"Grew up playing these games, blows my mind I’m on the cover! Thank you @PGATOUR2K"
Meanwhile, Tiger Woods also features on the Legacy edition of the PGA Tour 2K25. Fitzpatrick also reshared the poster of the Legacy edition along with a caption suggesting having some European team representation on it. He wrote:
"Feels like Team Europe should have some representation this year!"
Notably, Woods has been gracing the cover page of the long-running EA Sports golf series for decades. He was the face of it from 1999 to 2013 under the "Tiger Woods PGA Tour" branding. Meanwhile, the 2K edition of the PGA Tour video game was released in 2014, and Woods was featured on the 2K23 cover as well.
Matt Fitzpatrick made his debut at Tiger Woods' TGL
The inaugural edition of Tiger Woods' most anticipated golf series, TGL, finally kicked off on January 7. The first match was held between the New York Golf Club and The Bay Golf Club.
Matt Fitzpatrick was part of the New York Golf Club and played in the series last week. However, the English golfer had an embarrassing start to his game. On his second shot of the night, he had a mishit. Fitzpatrick quickly apologized to his teammates Xander Schauffele and Rickie Fowler.
"I'm just warming up. Sorry about that," Fitzpatrick said (via Mirror.com).
Nonetheless, it was a tough start for the New York Golf Club team at the TGL. They struggled with their game and lost the first match. The match was held on 15 holes, and New York could only win two holes.
Meanwhile, The Bay Golf Club were pretty impressive with their game and won by 9-2. They won six triples and three singles to secure the overall match.
Meanwhile, the PGA Tour also started its 2025 season with "The Sentry." Fitzpatrick, despite a challenging opening round of 73, rebounded strongly with three consecutive rounds of 65, 66, and 68. This impressive performance secured him a respectable 24th-place finish in the tournament. Meanwhile, Hideki Matsuyama made a triumphant start to the PGA Tour season, capturing victory in the season-opening event.
