Bryson DeChambeau and his LIV Golf team, Crushers GC, have signed a deal with Reebok. The agreement is almost official, as it was teased by the apparel giant in a short video posted on social media.
DeChambeau is a nine-time winner on the PGA Tour, including a U.S. Open victory. He is one of the most popular golfers today and has recently seen a surge in popularity due to his YouTube and social media interactions. It seems Reebok has decided to capitalize on his popularity by signing this new deal with the golfer.
On Thursday, December 12, Reebok shared a clip of Bryson DeChambeau sporting the $2.4 billion clothing brand's trousers. In the video, he is seen stepping out of a cart and positioning himself to tee off. Throughout the video, his face is intentionally cropped or kept out of the frame for teasing purposes.
"We're breaking 50 today," he says before the video ends.
While Reebok teased the association on Thursday, the deal was revealed a couple of weeks ago when DeChambeau was seen wearing shirts with the brand's logo during a Golf Digest photo shoot.
The two-time Major champion has previously been associated with several apparel brands. He had an equipment and apparel deal with Cobra-Puma, which ended in 2022. Afterward, he signed with Avoda Golf for 3D-printed golf clubs.
Meanwhile, Reebok has partnered with several golfers in the past, most notably Greg Norman. With Norman, the apparel brand even introduced The Greg Norman Collection, a separate clothing line named after the golfer. Reebok has also endorsed other popular athletes, including NFL superstars Eli and Peyton Manning, and NBA legends Shaquille O'Neal and Allen Iverson.
The apparel brand has been on a resurgence since being acquired by Authentic Brands Group for $2.4 billion in 2021. Recently, the company appointed O’Neal as the President of Basketball, and Iverson as Vice President of Basketball.
