Bryson DeChambeau won the US Open 2024, the third Major of the year held in Pinehurst, North Carolina. DeChambeau won a prize money of $4.3 million after winning the tournament.
As per LIV Golf's report, Bryson DeChambeau's US Open win has surged in popularity. He has gained 150,000 new followers across his social media platforms. There's a 250% spike in Google searches in regards to him.
The surge in DeChambeau's popularity has led to a significant increase in demand for LIV Golf Nashville tickets. The event might break the record of being the highest-attended event in the US. As per LIV Golf's website:
"There was the 240% increase in average daily ticket sales for Nashville. Although the event was already headed towards becoming LIV Golf's highest-attended event in the U.S., DeChambeau's win sparked additional interest, with grounds passes sold out for Saturday."
That's not all. In the last week, sales of LIV Golf merchandise have surged by 308%. The increase in Crushers' GC merchandise items is a staggering 985% as DeChambeau is the team captain.
LIV Golf’s Senior Vice President of Retail & Merchandising Rita Kim said (via LIV Golf):
"Crushers GC merchandise has certainly become a hot seller with Bryson's U.S. Open win. After selling out of the most popular items, we've increased our stock this week to meet all the demand, both online and here this week in Nashville."
Last year, LIV Golf announced that the Washington event was its most-attended event in the US. Further, the 2024 US Open has become the most-watched tournament with the final round watched by a peak audience of 11.4 million viewers, the highest in nine years.
