Bryson DeChambeau revealed that Mr Beast inspired him to take risks and create more online content for social media. The American golfer, who recently won the 2024 US Open, enjoys an enormous fan base on social media platforms. DeChambeau has become more active on the internet in recent years.

During a pre-tournament press conference for the 2024 LIV Golf Nashville, Bryson DeChambeau opened up about his social media journey, claiming it was risky when he started. Still, the popular American YouTuber Mr Beast inspired him to take that risk, and fortunately, things turned out in his favor.

Speaking of Mr Beast, DeChambeau said (via Ten Golf):

"It was risk a year and a half ago. But I knew it was a way for me to get my voice out there and inspire a younger generation. I saw what Mr Beast did in 2016 all the way up to where he is now. Over 200 million followers, a kid from Greenville, North Carolina. And just an entertaining character, not an athlete." [23:24]
"I said why can't an athlete do something like that why is that not possible. He's inspiring millions of people. Why aren't we maximizing that? Why isn't there an opportunity to do that? And I saw that light and I said look I want to try this."
