Phil Mickelson was the guest in the latest episode of Bryson DeChambeau's YouTube show Break 50. During the episode, DeChambeau revealed that he launched his channel to change people's perceptions and show them more of who he is.
DeChambeau is a nine-time winner on the PGA Tour, which includes one US Open win. This year, he won his second major after beating Rory McIlroy by one stroke at Pinehurst. Besides being an incredible golfer, he also owns a YouTube channel with over 1.5 million subscribers.
In the latest episode of the popular series Break 50, Bryson DeChambeau shared the story behind the origin of his YouTube journey.
"People had a thought process of who I was," he said. "I didn’t like how that was going, so I decided to take it upon myself to show people more of who I am.
"Quite honestly, it was an eye-opening experience the first time I ever did a YouTube video... it got a million views. It just opened my eyes to how people could perceive who you truly are when you present them with what you are actually doing—not just small snippets of any interaction or a poor interaction that I had or a mess-up that I had or whatever." he added.

Bryson DeChambeau invited veteran Phil Mickelson on the recent episode of Break 50. However, the duo also failed to break 50, shooting 15-under 55. They carded 13 birdies and an eagle in their round.
Bryson DeChambeau's YouTube show Break 50 was well-received by fans and garnered millions of views. In the first season of the hit series, several well-known names from different fields appeared as guests. These included major champions like Mickelson, John Daly, and Sergio Garcia.
Besides, golf content creators such as Grant Horvat, GM Golf, and Paige Spiranac also played a round with the 31-year-old golfer. Recently, the Bob Does Sports team attempted the Break 50 challenge and came close to achieving it.
However, the most significant guest this season was former President and current Republican candidate Donald Trump. That episode garnered over 12 million views.
DeChambeau had a fruitful season, finishing in the top ten in three of the four majors. This included a win at the US Open and a runner-up finish at the PGA Championship. He last competed at the LIV Golf Team Championship, where his team, Crushers GC, crashed out in the semifinals.
