He cited the reason of plantar fasciitis in his right foot received due to an injury. Woods suffered a serious accident in 2021 which resulted in a prolonged absence from the golf course. Since his recovery from injuries, he has only participated in a limited number of tournaments, including the Masters and the 150th Open. He was last seen in Capital One's The Match alongside Rory McIlroy.
