Cameron Smith stands by his teammates despite post-season player swapping - "Always digging deep for these guys"

Cameron Smith's Ripper GC won the 2024 LIV Golf Dallas Team Championship to conclude the 2024 LIV Golf season. The all-Australian team won the team championship for the first time, while Aces and Iron Heads finished runner-up.

As the 2024 LIV Golf season ends, the post-season transfer window will begin with teams looking to switch players and strengthen their squads for the 2025 season.

During the post-round press conference, Ripper GC skipper Smith shared his appreciation for his teammates and also revealed to the press that the team's lineup will remain the same for the next season.

"From a team standpoint, I couldn't have wished for anything more. You're always digging deep for these guys, genuinely, and it's a pretty cool feeling to have, not having that before, and I can't wait for next year.

"We're going to be the same next year. It's going to be the same lineup. I really think there's going to be some added motivation before -- I think we start in Saudi next year."

The Ripper GC team consists of Smith, Lucas Herbert, Matt Jones, and Marc Leishman. It won the Adelaide and Singapore events this year, but Smith thinks the squad could do better next year.

As an all-Australian team, Smith said LIV Golf Adelaide is a crucial event. He said,

"Being that Adelaide is going to be our biggest event of the year again probably next year, I think there's probably some added prep and some incentive to defend that. I think the biggest regret from all of us this year is just not starting off as well as we finished."
