The 2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship tees off on Thursday, October 3, and a LIV golfer is favorite to win it. The DP World Tour event, being held across three famous Scottish courses - the Old Course at St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns, features 14 players from the breakaway tour including Jon Rahm.
According to the European Tour’s odds, Rahm is favorite to win the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship this weekend. The 29-year-old Spaniard, who welcomed a daughter into the world earlier this week, comes in with 6-1 odds. The golfer is tied on top with PGA Tour’s Rory McIlroy. While the Irishman is the more popular pick, Rahm seems to be more in form.
For the unversed, Rahm won LIV Golf’s coveted season-long Individual Championship last month. The 2023 Masters champion, who joined the Saudi-backed series last December, won the series finale in Chicago and signed off the season with a perfect streak of top-10 finishes.
Notably, the Legion XIII captain is partaking in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in an attempt to qualify for the 2025 Ryder Cup team. It’ll be interesting to see how the ace golfer fares.
2024 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship odds
Rahm is closely followed on the odds list by his LIV Golf teammate Tyrrell Hatton. The Englishman comes into the weekend with 10-1 odds. Coming off a fourth-place finish on LIV’s individual season standings, Hatton looks like a promising bet for the event in Scotland.
Brooks Koepka is the third-best pick from the Saudi-backed players roster to win the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. He comes in with 18-1 odds. Louis Oosthuizen (35-1), Patrick Reed (40-1), Dean Burmester (50-1), Peter Uihlein (55-1), David Puig (60-1), and Talor Gooch (70-1) are some other LIV golfers to watch in Scotland.
