The FedEx Cup 2024 Playoffs are set to start this week, with the top 70 players in the standings competing in the season-ending event. However, LIV golfers will not be participating in the three-event playoff.

The FedEx Cup Playoffs are solely based on the players' performances in PGA Tour events throughout the season. Since LIV-associated professionals are banned from Tour events, they cannot compete in the season finale.

The major championships are the only FedEx-eligible events that LIV golfers played in. However, the points don't count toward the FedEx Cup standings due to their ban from the Tour.

Two years ago, several LIV Golf professionals had filed a case to include them in the FedEx field. However, their plea was rejected by the US District Court.

Among the LIV pros, Bryson DeChambeau had the best season in majors with a U.S. Open win, a runner-up finish at the PGA Championship, and a T12 finish at the Masters Tournament.

The FedEx Cup Playoffs will begin with the FedEx St. Jude Championship, which will take place at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee from Thursday, August 15 to Sunday, August 18. It will be followed by the BMW Championship next week in Denver, Colorado, and conclude with the Tour Championship in Atlanta, Georgia.
