Can Rory McIlroy make a comeback at PGA Championship 2023? Golfer's odds ahead of the final round explored

Rory McIlroy is just four strokes behind the third-round leader Brooks Koepka at the 2023 PGA Championship. The Northern Irish golfer can win the PGA Championship if he improves his game in the final round on Sunday, May 21. However, experts believe that Brooks Koepka and Viktor Hovland have the best chance to win the major event.

According to the odds provided by BetMGM Sportsbook, Brooks Koepka topped the odds tally for the final round of the PGA Championship with +120 points. Koepka has won four major championships and finished second at the first major of the year last month.

Rory McIlroy, on the other hand, missed the cut at the Masters. He is also struggling with a mysterious illness. The golfer confessed in his interview ahead of the PGA Championship that he has had health issues. Rory said:

"I’m fighting something. I thought I got a great night’s sleep last night and I looked at my Whoop (personal fitness watch) and I was 22% recovery, and my skin temperature was 3.5 degrees higher than what it’s been. But I actually feel better today than I felt yesterday, so plenty of water and a bit of rest, I’ll be fine.”
