Charley Hull has been very active today. Just about an hour ago, the golfer ran a casual 10k, which translates to over six miles. It took her less than an hour and she burned 811 calories long before a lot of people had even had breakfast.
Hull is a professional golfer who clearly knows the value of being and staying in shape. She's been in the offseason since the CME Group Tour Championship at the end of November but she's not letting herself get rusty or out of shape in the time off.
Hull shared her stats on her morning run and the plan for the rest of the day on her Instagram story. She captioned it:
"Nice 10k run this morning, post flight. Can't wait to train with Precision Golf Kate later."
Her trainer Kate has worked with her and other golfers, including Inci Mehmet, and will be working with her later today to make sure her golf game stays sharp. In the morning, Hull worked on her physical fitness, and in the afternoon, she'll work on the technical aspect of golf.
The next LPGA Tour tournament isn't until January 30, but that doesn't mean the star golfer is wasting any time. She's spent plenty of time on the course during her time away and shared that to her story as well.
Golf analyst predicts big 2025 season for Charley Hull
Charley Hull has finished in the top 10 38 times since joining the LPGA Tour in 2015. She's been the picture of consistency. Hull just hasn't won very often. The English golfer has just two wins in her career.
Golf analyst Sophie Walker believes there's more in store for her, noting that two wins feels too few for a player of Hull's caliber. She added (via Golf Monthly):
"I think it was important that she won on the LET towards the end of 2024 in the Aramco Team Series in Riyadh. I was out walking with her and she really stamped her authority on that tournament. She won by three strokes but it should have been more, on the closing holes you could see that it had been a while – her previous win had come two years before on the LPGA Tour – I don't think it was nerves, more the excitement of finally getting over the line."
Hull often talks about playing high-level golf, which she usually does. Walker believes it's a good omen that she played that level of golf and did get "something tangible" at the end of it all.
