Tiger Woods is returning to play The Masters next week. The five-time champion will be competing against the world’s top-rated golfers in the first major of the year. The 2023 Masters gets underway on Thursday, April 6, at the Augusta National Golf Club.
Ahead of the prestigious event, top experts and betting websites have let out their predictions. According to pro betters, golfers holding the top 3 spots in the Official World Golf Rankings remain favorites to win The Masters. Jon Rahm, Scottie Scheffler, and Rory McIlroy are the best bets for the event, but where does Tiger Woods rank? As per odds from Caesars Sportsbook, Woods doesn’t even make the top-20. He stays down in the 27th spot.
Woods comes into the 2023 Masters with odds of 55-1. He shares the odds with the likes of Tyrrell Hatton, Corey Conners, and Bryson DeChambeau. He sits just below Joaquin Niemann and above Louis Oosthuizen in the odds list. According to experts, it’ll take a big leap for the 47-year-old to finish in the top 10 of the tournament.
It is pertinent to note that Woods’ low place on the odds list is not surprising. Having spent months on the sidelines with serious injuries from his infamous car crash two years ago, Woods himself will be looking for a decent outing. Fans are looking forward to seeing the 15-time major winner in action after he played in the Genesis Invitational in Los Angeles in February.
Needless to say, the golf world is excited about the ace golfer’s return to Augusta.
