Charley Hull has taken the golfing world by storm this year after she was seen smoking at the 2024 US Women's Open. She received immense attention, especially on social media and has become one of the most well-known and followed female golfers.

Hull has around 676,000 followers on Instagram and posts regularly to keep her fans updated. Recently, she shared a video showcasing her 1k sprint on the treadmill and acknowledged that she has a love-hate relationship with the cardio. She posted the video on her Instagram and wrote:

"1k sprints this morning. It's a love-hate relationship."

Charley Hull opens up about her popularity on Instagram

Charley Hull has been competing on the LPGA Tour since 2015. The 28-year-old golfer has picked up the media and fans' attention recently for smoking on the golf course.

During the pre-round press conference of the 2024 Solheim Cup, a journalist questioned her regarding her popularity on Instagram. The British golfer, without any hesitation, revealed the truth and said she didn't have access to her Instagram.

"Truthfully, I don't have access to my Instagram. I stopped being on Instagram six months ago now. My agent posts everything for me. I don't log onto it. I don't do nothing on it. I literally send her the photos I want to be posted, and she'll post them for me," Hull said.

The 28-year-old pro golfer added:

"I feel like social media can be too time-consuming. You can get too obsessed with it rather than just living in the real world. I think it's unbelievable how many followers I've gained."

However, she sees the positive side of gaining this popularity on social media as she believes it will help promote the tour and everything.

Further, when questioned about what makes her relatable to many people who follow her, Charley Hull said:

"If other people don't like it, well, it's not their life. I live me. I live my life the way I want to live it, not how anyone else wants me to live it. I think just literally just live like a normal person."
