Charley Hull got some aid from fellow LPGA Tour golfer Inci Mehmet in her donation goal using signed memorabilia. Hull is raising money to donate to Great Ormond Street Hospital and she's raffling off signed memorabilia to fans to raise proceeds.

Mehmet stepped in and said on an Instagram story:

"Charley Hull has started a raffle to give you the opportunity to get your hands on money-can't-buy prizes. All of the money will be going towards GOSH, of course, which is a dedicated healthcare system for children."

She shared a personal connection, saying that her trainer's son has been diagnosed with a condition that will require healthcare throughout the rest of his childhood. As a result, she loves and wants to get involved with what Hull is doing.

Mehmet added:

"He is one of many children that have benefitted from this incredible system. So if you can get involved in any way, I'm going to get involved in this raffle for sure. It'll be very much appreciated."

Hull started the raffle four days ago by sharing her story to Instagram and saying:

"GOSH is one of the top children’s hospitals in the world, and is dedicated to finding new and better ways to treat childhood illnesses."

She also confirmed the story that Mehmet shared of her trainer's son. The two share the same trainer, Kate Davey of Precision Golf.

Charley Hull pleads fans to ignore scammers impersonating her

Charley Hull is a famous athlete, which means there are scores of fake social media accounts dedicated to her. Many of these have and will try to scam innocent followers by convincing them that they belong to Hull. Often, they're after money or personal information.

Hull has seen far too much of this and finally spoke out:

“I mentioned this a few weeks ago but after an incident at a tournament recently, I feel the need to speak out again. I will never ask for money or gift cards in exchange for meet and greets or fan club membership."

She continued, saying plainly that the clubs are "fake and run by scammers" before finishing with:

"My team and I only use my official social media accounts, @charley.hull (Instagram) @hullcharley (X) at ALL times, there are no exceptions. I am not on TikTok. There are SO many fake accounts out there claiming to be me, if you are contacted them please please report. Let’s stick together so we can beat the scammers.”

The famous golfer has over 705,000 followers on Instagram, and more than 92,000 followers on X. The lack of verification on the latter has made it more difficult than ever to determine real and fake celebrity pages online.
