Yesterday’s England vs India game in the 2024 T20 World Cup was an exciting match-up in the offing for many. As a result, English golfer Charley Hull dropped out of her event practice to watch the game. The LPGA’s official X.com account posted a video where Hull described how she didn't even practice on the front nine before her match day.

“It’s actually quite good because I haven't actually played the front nine on the golf course yet,” said Charley Hull.

Charley Hull further elaborated on how she went to a pub to watch the match. Fellow golfer Georgia Hall added that on Thursday, she eventually guided Hull through the first-batch holes.

“I wanted to watch the English game so I literally said, ‘Ads, let's just go to the pub instead,” said Hull.

In the India vs England semi-final, India won the match by 68 runs over England. Although seeing her country lose came as a disappointment to Charley Hull, she did end up having a good first day at the LPGA Dow Championship.

Georgia Hall and Charley Hull sit at T6. The duo dropped seven birdies on holes 3, 4, 5, 6, 12, 14 and 15. Their score is 6-under after the first round of the Dow Championship.
