As one of the premier events of the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), the prize money for the Chennai Pro Championship 2024 stands at ₹50 lakh, which will be divided among the participants as per their final standings.
The winner will get the highest payout — ₹7.5 lakh or 15% of the Chennai Pro Championship 2024 prize money. The second-positioned golfer will get ₹5 lakh, while the player in third place will earn ₹2.999 lakh.
The Chennai Pro Championship 2024 is taking place at the TNGF Cosmo Golf Course between August 20 and 23. Several big names in the Indian golf circuit, including PGTI’s highest-ranked player Veer Ahlawat, are participating in the tournament. Other key Indian golfers taking part include Manu Gandas, Rashid Khan, and Karandeep Kochhar.
The event also features several international players from countries such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, South Korea, and others. Three amateur players are taking part in the event, one of them being former Indian cricketer Murali Vijay.
