Collin Morikawa recently praised the Californian firefighters for tackling the wildfires in Southern California. He took to Instagram to express his appreciation for the bravery of these national heroes.
Over the last few days, Southern California has been affected by massive wildfires, causing significant property damage and claiming five lives so far. On Thursday, January 9, ABC2LA, a television station in Los Angeles, took to Instagram to thank California's firefighters. Collin Morikawa reposted the message on his Instagram story and wrote,
"Heroes."
The areas like Palisades, Eaton, Kenneth, Sunset, and Hurst Fire have been heavily affected by the wildfires. With over 9,000 structures damaged or destroyed, nearly 130,000 residents have been evacuated or are in the process of being evacuated.
Is Collin Morikawa competing at the Sony Open in Hawaii?
Collin Morikawa isn't playing at the Sony Open in Hawaii, which is being held at the Waiʻalae Country Club this week. Since the event isn't a Signature one, several top players, including Morikawa, are not playing this week.
