Taylor Moore won the 2023 Valspar Championship. The American golfer erased Adam Schenk's three-stroke lead on Sunday to finish at a scoring deficit of 10. He registered a one-shot victory over Schenk. Moore took home $1.4 million in prize money along with the Champion's trophy.
However, his win was pretty surprising for the fans as they were expecting Jordan Spieth to win the event.

"The first win of his PGA Tour career!"

"Really, Solid player" - Jordan Spieth appreciates Taylor Moore on his victory
Four years ago in 2019, Moore suffered a lung collapse. He revealed that his right lung was 50 percent damaged, potentially depending on the left for survival.
His dream of winning the PGA Tour was fading in front of his eyes when the golfer came to know about his health.
Moore revealed in his interview that in the spring of 2019, he was driving to the airport to catch a flight for his next match but turned right to visit the doctor. He detoured to an urgent care facility and later came to know that his right lung was half damaged.
But he never gave up on his dream. Moore took a break from the game to focus on his health and four years later won the first PGA Tour. It was an inspiring journey and Moore was happy with the choice he made. He said (via Golf Week):
"I think if I would have taken a left (to the airport), I might not be here in front of you guys tonight. So, I mean, that was God’s will just to tell me to take a right and go to the hospital and check out what was going on.”
Taylor Moore finished the 72-hole game with a total of 10-under 274, two strokes ahead of Jordan Spieth's third finish.
The three-time major champion was also happy for Moore and appreciated him in his interview. Spieth called him a solid player and said:
“Really solid player that’s been knocking on the door."
