Jon Rahm walked out of the Augusta field in a green jacket. The Spaniard finally won The Masters, his second major title. Jon Rahm won the title by four strokes on Sunday after defeating 54-hole leader Brooks Koepka and former Masters winner Phil Mickelson.

A viral tweet from the new Masters champion is making headlines after his victory last evening. Jon Rahm predicted his victory back in 2013. Rahm posted a picture of a note from Panda Express with the caption saying:

"I am gonna win the Masters."

Nuclear Golf posted a screenshot of the tweet on their social media handle with a caption saying:

"Jon Rahm called his shot back in 2013."

Rahm turned pro in 2016. In 2013, he played as an amateur while attending Arizona State University.

He earned a bachelor's degree in communications while studying on a golf scholarship at the university. Rahm won 11 college golf tournaments, the second-highest in golf history.

It is important to note that Phil Mickelson won the most collegiate tournaments. Interestingly, Rahm defeated Mickelson at the 2023 Masters to win the green jacket. He registered a four-stroke win over LIV golfers Mickelson and Brooks Koepka.

"Really proud of myself" - Jon Rahm opens up about his victory

Jon Rahm drew inspiration from the late golfer Seve Ballesteros. He donned the iconic green jacket on Sunday, April 9, on the 66th birth anniversary of Seve and also on his 40th second Masters win anniversary. Adding cherries to the cake was Easter Sunday.

Jon Rahm was on cloud nine after winning The Masters and was happier as he won it on a beautiful day.

During the winner's press conference, Rahm spoke about the special day and said:

"History of the game is a big part of why I play and one of the reasons why I play, and Seve being one of them. For me to get it done on the 40th anniversary of his win, his birthday, on Easter Sunday, it's incredibly meaningful. And to finish it off the way that I did -- an unusual par, very much a Seve par -- it was, in a non-purposeful way, a testament to him. I know he was pulling for me today, and it was a great Sunday."

He went on to reveal that he was extremely happy and proud of himself. Rahm added:

"Never thought I was going to cry about winning a golf tournament, but I got very close on that 18th hole. And a lot of it because of what it means to me and Spanish golf. Spain's 10th major, fourth player to win the Masters and my second major win. … Lot of pride. Really proud of myself for what I did."

Jon Rahm turned pro in 2016 and started his journey with the European Tour before earning a PGA Tour card. He has won 20 professional events in the last seven years, including 11 PGA Tour events.

Jon Rahm won three Tour events earlier this year and the fourth victory of the season at the 2023 Masters. It was his second major title. Rahm won the US Open in 2021 and played in all four major events.
