Rickie Fowler makes gear swaps at Sanderson Farms Championship
Rickie Fowler returned to compete in an official tournament on the PGA Tour after two months. He last played at The Open, finishing in 71st place after four rounds of 79, 69, 74, and 75.
As Fowler returned to official competition this week, he made three major changes to his bag. The PGA Tour golfer added a 13.5-degree TaylorMade BRNR Mini Driver Copper to his bag, along with black versions of Cobra King Tour irons (4-PW) and an L.A.B. Golf DF3 mallet putter.
In a press conference ahead of the tournament, Rickie Fowler opened up about the changes, saying (via PGA Tour):
"Time off allows for some testing or potential change. In a season, you might have a week or maybe a two-week break, and it’s sometimes tough to make changes in there, or I’m also not someone … I don’t like to make a whole lot of changes unless I have the time to put reps in and have a bit more of an idea how things are going to work.”
Notably, the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship is a four-day event, with its finale scheduled for Sunday, October 6.
