Collin Morikawa and his wife Katherine celebrated their second marriage anniversary on Tuesday, November 26. On the joyous occasion, the two engaged in a playful exchange on social media. The two-time Major Champion is enjoying his golf off-season after the end of the 2024 PGA Tour season.

Through her Instagram Story, Katherine shared a picture to commemorate the occasion. In the picture, Collin Morikawa dressed in a black tuxedo is kissing their dog Koa in a canine tuxedo. Katherine captioned the picture:

"Happy anniversary @collin_morikawa. You will always be second in my heart (red heart emoji)."

Katherine playfully implied that their dog, Koa, holds the top spot in her heart even ahead of her husband. Collin Morikawa reposted the picture on his Instagram Story and humorously wrote:

"Didn’t expect anything different."

Collin also shared two pictures on his Instagram Story, to commemorate their anniversary. In one of the pictures, Katherine could be seen mid-jump on what looked like a Parisian sidewalk. He captioned the post:

"Happy 2nd Anniversary to my best friend ❤️ @katherine_morikawa."

Morikawa also shared an adorable picture of Katherine outdoors holding a fluffy chicken, captioning it:

"Keep being you"

Collin Morikawa and Katherine met in 2017 during their college at UC Berkeley and Pepperdine, respectively. They both tied the knot in November 2022 at Hotel Bel-Air, Los Angeles.


Collin Morikawa's wife Katherine hailed him for his support after her NYC Marathon run

On Wednesday, November 6, Katherine Morikawa, wife of pro golfer Collin Morikawa, called her husband 'the most supporting' after completing the 2024 New York City Marathon. Katherine raised awareness and funds for St. Jude's for childhood cancer advocacy at the event.

She shared a picture with Collin from the event on Instagram and wrote:

"To the most supportive husband @collin_morikawa your constant encouragement kept me going and your belief in me helped me believe in myself. knowing you were out there cheering me on made all the difference. i love you more than words can say (white heart emoji) #TCSNYCMarathon"

Talking to the New York Post in an exclusive published on November 1, Katherine disclosed how she got into running in Marathons.

"I actually started running last year. I read [runner] David Goggins’ book, ‘Can’t Hurt Me,’ and I decided to try to run one mile thinking, ‘Oh, I’m pretty fit, I could probably do it.’ Could not run one mile without walking, and that’s when I told myself, ‘Okay, I will start running to at least be able to run one mile without walking.’"

She eventually got into half marathons and then into full marathons. Katerine Zhu was born in Vancouver, B.C., and attended high school at Zhuji Hailiang Private High School in China. She is the daughter of Mike Chu, a former tennis champion.

She moved to the USA and majored in international management at Pepperdine University. Katherine initially played tennis during her youth years before switching to golf after winning her first amateur tournament at the age of 13.

She also played collegiate golf at Pepperdine University and competed had a scoring average of 76.54 in 39 events and 107 rounds. As per the University's website, she was honored with multiple titles like WGCA All-American Scholar, and WCC All-Academic recipient.
