In a recent video on Bryson DeChambeau's YouTube channel, the former President of the United States Donald Trump featured in LIV Golfer's 'Break 50' series. Trump surprised DeChambeau with his music choices.
In a post on X, the 30-year-old clarified that the YouTube video was shot in the first week of July before the Genesis Scottish Open and the Open Championship 2024. He also made it clear that the video was shot before the assassination attempt on Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler.
The US Open Champion asked the former American President about his top five songs of all time. The latter responded by saying:
"I have, I have yeah. I have a great playlist, this is all good stuff that's too old for you." (10.00-10.05)
Bryson DeChambeau further asked if Donald Trump had any favorite singer and if it was Frank Sinatra. The 78-year-old said:
"Oh, I have a lot of Frank Sinatra, yeah."
Further, Trump played an opera song 'Time to Say Goodbye' while driving the golf cart and DeChambeau beside him. On hearing the song, the 30-year-old golfer said with a smile:
"I love it. It is calming as ever."
Trump nodded calling it 'nice and soothing.' Bryson DeChambeau was further asked to choose a song, and he selected 'Beat It' by Michael Jackson.
The US Open champion has a good fan following on YouTube, with around 800k subscribers on his channel till the end of June. However, just after posting the video with Trump, his subscriber count crossed one million on the platform. The video had gained 3.2 million views at the time of writing.
Bryson DeChambeau had invited Donald Trump and Joe Biden to settle the 'handicap debate'
After the first Presidential debate at the end of June, Bryson DeChambeau had invited both Trump and Biden for a golf match to settle the handicap debate. In a post on X, he wrote:
"Let’s settle this whole handicap debate, I’ll host the golf match on my YouTube @realDonaldTrump @JoeBiden"
The handicap question came after both Biden and Trump debated who had a better handicap. In the debate, Trump jibed on Biden saying that he wouldn't be able the ball even 50 yards. Biden had said:
"Look, I'd be happy to have a driving contest with him. I got my handicap, which when I was vice president, down to a six. And by the way, I told you before, I'm happy to play golf if you carry your own bag. Think you can do it?"
Trump responded to Biden's claim of six handicaps as an absolute lie. In a 2016 article, Golf Digest ranked the former12th (handicap 2.8) and the latter 68th (handicap 10) in Washington's top 150 golfing politicians.
