"Embarrassing golf!"; "And this guy hated on LIV?" - Fans roast Billy Horschel's 'cringe' entry at the TGL

Fans on social have reacted to Billy Horschel's entry at the TGL's third match. The match was held between Atlanta Drive Golf Club and New York Golf Club on Tuesday, January 21, at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

Notably, last week, Tiger Woods played his first TGL match and his entry drew significant attention and appreciation.

The popular golf page NUCLRGOLF posted a video showcasing Horschel's entry in which he could be seen entering the arena through a tunnel lit with red smoke and laser effects. The eight-time PGA Tour winner revealed a chain with the text "Dirty Birds" and then went on to do the "Dirty Bird" dance. NUCLRGOLF captioned the post:

"Billy Horschel TGL entrance (shaking face emoji)"

However, the fans in the comment section didn't receive Billy Horschel's entry well.

"Embarrassing golf! Even worse than LIV!" one fan wrote.

"And this guy hated on liv?" other fan commented.

"Cringe," another fan wrote.

However, not all fans roasted him with some appreciating his entry.

"i couldn’t disagree more, really enjoying watching," one fan appreciated.

"Oh wow everyone big mad becuse he has some type of personality instead of being a boring old robot like the rest of the boys," other fan wrote.

The next TGL match will be held next week between Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links Golf Club and Rory McIlroy's Boston Common Golf.

Who won the third match of TGL?

The third TGL match was held between Atlanta Drive Golf Club (Justin Thomas, Billy Horschel, Patrick Cantlay) and New York Golf Club (Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick, Rickie Fowler) on Tuesday, January 21.

The 15-hole match started with the 'Triples' format. Atlanta took the lead on the very first hole. The next four holes were tied followed by Atlanta winning the sixth hole. The remaining three holes in 'Triples' were tied as well.
