Recently, English footballer Bukayo Saka took an interest in golf and Ian Poulter was happy to help. The English Premier League star was attempting his first golf shot and received guidance from the LIV golfer. A video of the tutorial was posted by the Majesticks GC via Twitter.

In the video, Ian Poulter asks Saka to bend his knees and hang his arms straight down. Saka then takes a shot, and appears happy with the result:

“Oh my goodness,” said Saka after the shot.

This wasn't the first time Ian Poulter taught a cross-sports star to play golf. He taught golf to Carlos Sainz Jr. in 2021. He advised Sainz to move his body and shoulder after the club came down to a certain angle. He also said that the hands should come down to the right side, and to add more energy to the shot after.

“The club runs and then your shoulders force you to come down…can shorten the swing, and then allow the hands to come towards your right side, but add the energy later,” said Poulter via Facebook.

This week, Ian Poulter will be playing at LIV Golf Andalucia, which is hosted by the Valderrama Golf Club.
