Week three of the TGL witnessed New York Golf Club face Atlanta Drive GC. While both teams contained top-notch players, it's Atlanta Drive GC and its' star golfer, Billy Horschel, who made the headlines. The team made it to the headlines for their victory over New York while Horschel made it for his comments.

In an interview during the third week of TGL, Horschel made a comment in which he seemingly admitted that a TGL producer asked them to keep the game close. These comments from the veteran golfer have left fans puzzled about whether he really meant what he was saying or whether he was just joking.

In another tweet, a fan mentioned they hoped to see more entertaining matches, but not at the cost of Billy Horschel's comments being true. The fan wrote:

Here is a detailed look at more reactions about Billy Horschel's comments:

"If the gimmie putts weren't enough to let you know you shouldn't be placing bets then you're probably going to ignore this too," a user wrote.
"imo, this is a horrible look for TGL. You need to let it play out the way it plays out. Maybe TGL solidifies that Golf is meant to be an outdoor sport only," wrote a user.
"If you didn't know he was joking because he felt they weren't playing as well as they could then I don't know what to tell you," one user wrote.
"I lost a tremendous amount of brain cells reading the replies to this. Absolutely zero ability by anyone to recognize a tongue-in-cheek reply from Billy in response to a joke from the producer," a user wrote.

Until now, the three matches that took place in TGL witnessed one of the teams playing in dominant fashion. In week 1 of the indoor tournament, The Bay Golf Club beat New York Golf Club 9-2. Later, Los Angeles Golf Club beat Jupiter Links Golf Club 12-1.

Billy Horschel's Atlanta Drive Golf Club, on the other hand, beat New York Golf Club 4-0. However, it's also important to note that TGL still has plenty of action pending as the tournament has just begun, and one team is yet to make its debut.
