Bryson DeChambeau believes that public golf courses are tougher to play on than Tour courses. He recently mentioned that hitting on these surfaces felt like hitting off dirt and sand, which made it significantly more challenging.

DeChambeau is a nine-time PGA Tour winner, including two Major championships. He has also secured two wins on the LIV Golf circuit and serves as the captain of Crushers GC in the upstart league. Besides being a popular golfer, he is quite active on YouTube, regularly sharing content and videos.

In his latest videos, Bryson DeChambeau played at Delray Beach Golf Club in Florida, attempting to break the course record. While playing, he observed that public courses were brutal, offering very little room for mishits.

Fans online shared their observations comparing both types of courses, with most agreeing with Bryson DeChambeau's point. Here's a look at some of the reactions:

"Finally someone is telling the truth," one fan wrote.
"Of course. Public courses don’t have the funds that private courses have to maintain their greens & fairways to pristine conditions," this fan opined.
"Beyond conditions," this fan commented. "How many balls do pros lose in tournaments when they have 100-1000’s of fans looking? How many balls don’t go 40 yards off the green because they hit fans or stands?"
"Totally agree. When you put on tour greens. You are tested. But they are so in consistent. It’s so much easier to predict outcomes in public courses are not like that," another fan wrote.
"40 years ago I still played several courses where fairways were not watered . Everyone played 'winter rules', where you could roll the ball a few inches for a good lie before hitting. Looking back, that might make since on most courses I play today," one user remarked.
"💯 % they rarely get a bad lie in a divot, we occasionally het a good lie on a muni. Much harder to hit quality shots," one user posted.
