On 2nd December 2024, 4 Aces posted on their official account about the transfer news of Thomas Pieters for the LIV Golf League in 2025. This is by far the first transfer that is confirmed to happen in the Saudi Arabia-backed tournament.

Pieters was originally a part of Bubba Watson's Range Goats in 2023. In 4 Aces GC, his contract will stay valid for 1 year. According to LIV Golf's history, Thomas Pieters is the first non-American golfer to enter the franchise. 4Aces GC took it to X to post the transfer update on their official account:

"Welcome to the 4Aces GC, @Thomas_Pieters"

Fans were quick to share their opinions after 4 Aces GC confirmed the arrival of the 2012 NCAA Division 1 Individual Champion. X users shared their thoughts about this transfer in the comments section.

"Have 2B honest, never saw this one coming. Good for the Aces and Pieters.", one of them said.
"So who is gone from the team?", a fan asked.
"Whoa!!! crazy. Good for him. Everyone knows the 4 Aces! I might need another hat.", another one wrote.

Currently in 4 Aces GC, Pat Perez’s contract will end on January 1, 2025. Harold Verner will be a part of the team since his contract will stay valid for the next year. In 2024, the 4 Aces GC finished in the 10th position. Apart from that, they became runner-ups in the Team Championship in Dallas with an 8-under par. In 2022 Dustin Johnson's team won the inaugural team title.

According to GM Chris Rosaasen, the new addition can be fruitful in the future. He said:

“He’s a solid player with multiple wins in his career. His Ryder Cup record shows he excels in team golf. He’s going to be a great fit for the 4Aces brand both on and off the course.”

Now that Thomas Pieters has joined the squad, he can help the team climb the rankings table next season. Before he came to LIV Golf, Thomas was the top scorer for Team Europe in 2016's Ryder Cup, picking up the win in four out of five matches. Thomas Pieters won the DP World Tour for a total of six times. Besides that, the Belgian holds seven professional victories among all tours.

Even if it is temporary, Dustin Johnson is leading a five-man squad in the history of LIV Golf. Before 4Aces GC confirmed the news, Flushing It Golf posted on X while talking about this situation:
