Former junior PGA Championship winner Brad Dalke, who recently competed at the 2024 Creator Classic, opened up about the 'grind' on the PGA Tour and how he shifted his interests to focus on his career in content creation. Dalke has played golf while studying at the University of Oklahoma and has some remarkable finishes. He won the 2015 Junior PGA Championship and also played at the Masters and the US Open in 2017.

However, he drastically switched ways and focused more on creating content than pursuing a career as a professional golfer. He started with his "Good Good" YouTube channel, which has over 1.6 million subscribers now.

Dalke recently appeared on an episode of Golf's "Subpar", where he was asked if he missed playing competitive golf. In response, the 27-year-old YouTuber said that he has no desire to get into the grind of the mini-tours to qualify for a PGA Tour card. However, he has plans to play competitive golf sometime in the future.

"It's just the grind of mini-tours, money qualifiers, even going through like PGA tour America now all that. At this point right now I just don't want to go through that grind. It's a lot and it's expensive and it can take a toll on you mentally if you're not playing well," Dalke said (at 34:00).
"And so right now I have no desire to go through that grind. But I think at some point I might might try it again, but I think that's going to be pretty far down the road, and luckily golf is a sport we can play for a long time," he added.

Notably, Brad Dalke competed in a PGA Tour event in 2016. He earned a special exemption to compete in the Valero Texas Open in 2016, but unfortunately, he missed the cut.

How has Brad Dalke played at the Creator Classic 2024?

The 2024 Creator Classic was one of the most exciting PGA Tour events, featuring a stellar field highlighted by renowned content creators including Paige Spiranac, Brad Dalke, Bryan Brothers, and Sean Walsh among others.

Brad Dalke had a decent outing at the unique PGA Tour and finished with an even-par score after eight holes. The tournament had a gross stroke play format for the first eight holes, and the top four on the leaderboard competed for the title on the ninth hole in a playoff.

Dalke settled in fifth place in a tie with Micah Morris and Peter Finch after eight holes, missing out on a spot in the playoff by just one stroke. Luke Kwon, Wesley Bryan, Roger Steele, and Sean Walsh qualified for the playoff, and finally, it was Kwon who shot a birdie in the playoff to win the inaugural edition of the Creator Classic.
