Former LIV golfer Pablo Larrazabal admitted he will never play a full schedule on the PGA Tour. He currently plays on the European Tour and recently shared his excitement about competing against PGA Tour players at the upcoming Scottish Open, which features a mixed field of European and PGA Tour players.

A golf fan reshared his tweet, praising him and stating that people would love to see him play on the PGA Tour. However, Pablo Larrazabal clearly stated that he would "never play a full schedule" on the PGA Tour, indicating he will continue his journey on his home tour. Larrazabal wrote:

"Thank you Felix but I will never play PGA full schedule…"

The Spanish golfer played at LIV Golf before rejoining the European Tour. He has enjoyed success on the European Tour, having won nine tournaments so far in his career.

It is important to note that the top 10 European Tour players finishing on the Race to Dubai list at the end of a season earn an exemption to compete on the PGA Tour if they are not already part of the circuit. Pablo Larrazabal currently sits at 48th place on the Race to Dubai list for the 2024 season. However, if he performs well at next week's Scottish Open, he has an opportunity to improve his ranking and earn a PGA Tour card.

Most European Tour players usually compete on the PGA Tour after earning their cards. Veteran golfer Colin Montgomerie has recently raised concerns about players leaving the European Tour for the PGA Tour or LIV Golf. In a recent interview with Golf Magic, Montgomerie said:

"Yeah, I'm getting quite depressed now, as I speak on behalf of my old tour, the European Tour. Yes, it's weakened; there's no denying it. You can paint it up as much as you want. You could paint it rose-tinted, whatever you want to do, but come on."

He even spoke about the top-10 players on the DP World Tour Race to Dubai list getting PGA Tour cards, saying:

"Top 10 in your business every year is going to be weaker, isn't it? So [it's] great for the PGA Tour; I can't believe they accepted it, to be honest, because they're taking spots away from Americans, but good on them to get them. Unfortunately, Europe, Europe has suffered, and the European Tour will suffer because of it."

Some top European Tour talents, including Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland, and Ludvig Åberg rarely compete on their home tour. However, Pablo Larrazabal has different plans for himself.

A quick recap of Pablo Larrazabal's performance in 2024

Pablo Larrazabal has had a decent season on the European Tour. He started his season at the Dubai Invitational and tied for 20th place. His best finish this season was at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, where he finished T4.

He missed the cut in only four tournaments this season and recorded several good finishes. He last played at the BMW International Open but missed the cut. He did not play in any PGA Tour events this season.
